Start your Natural Health Consultant career
with a solid foundation in herbalism!
Our Natural Health Consultant course contains the core studies that form the backbone of all our holistic health programs. Core studies include a deep understanding of our immune system, blood chemistry, vitamins & minerals, nutrition, and more. The Natural Health Consultant can be thought of as a fountain of information for those who seek to effectively care for themselves, family, or community. The NHC uses the client consult to consider the whole person, looking beyond presenting symptoms to uncover the root cause of dis-ease. This assessment is the basis for educating each individual client and for recommending natural, modalities such as dietary changes; supplements; stress reduction; and herbal remedies in conjunction with alternative approaches to healing.
Master Herbalist is a title that denotes proficiency in the use of herbs and our course prepares students to competently and effectively use herbs for natural healthcare. Herbal studies include the vast knowledge that traditional herbalism has provided in addition to the modern view of herbal constituents and scientific studies.
Together you have a powerful double-diploma opportunity to develop the skills needed to provide comprehensive natural health solutions.

Natural Health Consultant and Master Herbalists
Natural health consultants are professionals who have extensive knowledge about natural remedies, such as vitamins, minerals, herbal formulations, nutrition, and what the body requires at the cellular level. All natural health professionals, which includes herbalists, need to understand what the body organs and systems require to function optimally. In addition to the required class/book G350 Herbs and Physiology: Herbal ABC’s: The Foundation of Herbal Medicine by Dr. Sharol Marie Tilgner, students will be able to download and print our specialized manual Immune System Fundamentals and Autoimmune Disorders.
Being an effective natural health consultant and master herbalist also requires communication and listening skills. The ability to listen carefully to a client’s health care concerns sounds easy but, what if the root cause is your focus (it should be) and not the symptoms your client is immediately concerned with resolving? Our thorough case study classes will prepare you for the all-important office consultation.

Certified Herbalist – Facts & Fiction
Many herbal students want to know whether they can become a certified or licensed herbalist after completing online herbal classes. The truth is, there is currently no certifying agency or licensing board for herbalists in the United States. When you see a school offer certification for an herbalist or promote herbalist diploma courses with the titles Certified Herbalist or Certified Master Herbalist it is, in our opinion, a deception.
Most schools that offer herbalist programs provide a certificate of completion when you have completed your studies, but this is not the same as obtaining certification from an official board that has legal authority. Herbalists who claim to be “certified” have been misinformed.
TRUTH: If you live in the United States, you can use, sell, recommend, formulate herbal remedies, and charge for herbal services without a license or certification.
