Traditional Dr. of Naturopathy

Traditional Naturopathy Has Always Been Holistic

Choosing an online school for naturopathy and herbalism training has never been easier! We have designed your courses to be comprehensive and relevant. Courses include college level anatomy & physiology, medical and traditional herbalism, modern and traditional literature covering both alternative medicine strategies and herbal formulations.

As a traditional doctor of naturopathy you may work within a professional office setting and see clients of all ages and in all conditions. This program will prepare you for clients that are likely well versed in medical language and have already tried everything else and nothing is working. According to recent reports, approximately 40% of adults in the U.S. are using some form of complementary or alternative medicine. Many people are becoming aware of the interconnection of body, mind and spirit and the importance of treating the whole person rather than separate body parts.

Your confidence in determining the unique needs of each client increases with knowledge. Our students, and we do hope you join us, receive much more than a list of books to read so they may turn in an open-book test. In addition to self-study of books and tests, we  provide online instructor-led classes to prepare you for the critical thinking skills needed to make appropriate choices and recommendations.

Board Certification

This natural health program prepares you and makes you eligible to apply for Board Certification. The American Association of Drugless Practitioners Certification and Accreditation Board provides full board professional accreditation and certification to both institutes of higher education and professional practitioners.

Our Traditional Doctor of Naturopathy online school program is identical to our Holistic Health Professional courses.

The name difference is in response to the ongoing legal/political issues. If you are concerned about laws developing in your state, or live in a state where the wording “Doctor” or “Naturopath” may bring legal issues, this diploma program is an excellent choice. We also say Holistic Health Professional instead of Holistic Health Practitioner to avoid the “practitioner” which may be viewed as a medical designation in the future. The definition of practitioner: “a person actively engaged in an art, discipline, or profession, especially medicine”

Requirements include 20 books/manuals, 1 project, 2 online classes (Client Case Studies #1 and #2, Case Studies #3 and #4), and a final exam. Estimated time to complete this program is 24 months. 73 credit hours/1168 study hours.
