One-Year Program: 250-Hour Virtual Internship #2

Prerequisite: 250-Hour Internship #1

Our virtual internship has been designed to provide valuable hands-on experience, dozens of case studies, research skills, and health-specific knowledge through. If you are ready to invest in your confidence, competence, and success as a natural health provider Sharlene Peterson, the founder of Genesis, will be personally leading the internship program. There will be limited enrollment to ensure that each student receives timely grading and answers to questions. 

Each month there will be a 4-hour online instruction class covering body systems, disease prevention, pathologies, and protocols to regain health. Students will also complete client case studies, client practicums, pathology, and modality assignments. To complete the Internship, students will need to set aside 20 hours per month/5 hours per week to devote to studies. The internship requirements must be completed within 12 months + 6 weeks. 

  • Instructor: Sharlene Peterson, the founder of Genesis School, will be leading live monthly online lectures for 12 months (October 2024 – October 2025). Each online meeting will be recorded and posted to the student portal. Students may view the video again or watch it when unable to attend the live class. 
  • Limited Enrollment: There will be limited enrollment to ensure that each student receives timely grading and answers to questions.
  • Students that start the internship after October 2024 may join the current monthly online lecture. 
  • When the live lectures have been completed, incoming students will watch the recorded video lectures and attend the monthly meetings. Monthly meeting will include Q & A time and short topics or new research findings depending on student questions and interests. 

LECTURES

Four hours of online training lectures each month for 12 months. [48 hours]

TOPICS

Lectures will include diet considerations, pathology, remedies, client intake and more...

CASE STUDIES

Students will be given 3 specific case studies each month. [72 hours / 6 hours per month]

HOMEWORK

Students will determine the appropriate nutrition, lifestyle factors, herbs, and supplements for each case study.

CLIENT PRACTICUM

Real life clients the student acquires. Family, friends, neighbors are all ok. [72 hours / 6 hours per month]

HOMEWORK

Students will complete 2 case studies with real clients. A full intake and recommendations will be required.

PATHOLOGY & MODALITIES

Two pathology research assignments and one modality per month [48 hours/4 hours per month].

HOMEWORK

Monthly research assignments on pathology /disease and how the body heals.

BUSINESS

Students will personalize business forms, intake forms, and explore marketing and a business model. [12 hours]

HOMEWORK

One-Year 12 Lecture Series: 48 hours

  1. A Deeper Look: Thyroid Disorders & Adrenal Fatigue
  2. Mental Health Considerations: Chronic Anxiety, Acute Anxiety, Chronic  Depression, Blues/Acute Depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD), Attention Disorders (ADD), Diet, Supplements, Homeopathic, and Herbal Considerations.
  3. The Circle of Life #1: Babies / Young Children, Pre-Teen – Young Adults, Fertility & Pregnancy, Diet, Supplements, Homeopathic, and Herbal Considerations.
  4. The Circle of Life #2: Menopause, Andropause, Anti-Aging Strategies, Working with the Elderly, Cataracts & Macular Degeneration, Diet, Supplements, Homeopathic, and Herbal Considerations.
  5. Cellular Health, Epigenetics, & Energy: Cellular Biology (cell structure & function), Cellular Communication (a process where a cell is able to influence the behavior of other cells), Mitochondrial Function & Dysfunction, Diet, Supplements, Homeopathic, and Herbal Considerations.
  6. Pain & Inflammation: Structural Issues, Stress / Emotions, Toxicities, Deficiencies, Diet, Supplements, Homeopathic, and Herbal Considerations.
  7. A Deeper Look: Parkinson’s & Autonomic Dysfunction
  8. Microbiology: Bacterial Infections, Mycoplasmas , Fungus / Yeasts / Candida, Viral Infections, Prions, Parasites, Diet, Supplements, Homeopathic, and Herbal Considerations.
  9. A Deeper Look: Lyme’s Disease & Co-Infections
  10. A Deeper Look: Rheumatoid Arthritis & Crohn’s Disease
  11. A Deeper Look: Multiple Sclerosis & Herpes (types 1-8)

Client Case Studies Homework

Students will be given 2-4 case studies to work on each month. Plan on 6 hours each month. There will be a mixture of acute and chronic conditions, male and female clients, and case studies will include both the very young and elderly. Students will research the herbs, supplements, and other recommendations that were used for the client in the case study. Each case study will have specific questions / homework requirements.

Client Practicum Homework

Students will complete 2 case studies with real clients – friends, family…(8 hours per month). Students will identify the root cause of the condition if possible, provide nutrition, supplementation, lifestyle, and herbal recommendations if necessary, and help the client determine long-term health goals. Some of the details may include identifying the root cause of the condition, nutrition, supplementation, and herbal recommendations, lifestyle recommendations, manual therapies, and long-term goals.

Pathology/Physiology Homework

Students will research 2 diseases, disorders, infections, or toxicities per month and write a report – 4 hours each month. A sample report and topic list will be provided. Topics include asthma, pneumonia, impetigo, ear infections, strep throat, Irritable Bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease, Psoriasis, and more. 

Healing Modalities Homework

Students will explore and research healing modalities and write one short report (1 hour per month). Light therapy, reflexology, castor oil packs, cold and hot water therapy….there are many modalities! Students will be given a sample report, and a list of modalities to consider, and a few that are required. You will be able to research modalities that you are most interested in learning about or using with your clients.

Business Building Homework

Our first lecture will cover many aspects of business building. Students will then apply the information to prepare for opening a business. 250-Hour Virtual Internship #2: Tuition

Tuition: $1,850.00

Pay in Full and save 15%: $1,572.50

Payment Plan: Tuition is $1,850.00 and the deposit is $1,000.00. Payments for the remaining balance of $850.00 will be $170.00 for 5 months. 

Discounts: Military, Police & First Responders receive 15% off diploma programs. This discount applies to all who have served, are currently serving, and their spouse. Tuition is the same if paying in full or making payments. Tuition is $1,572.50 and the deposit is $1,000.00. Payments for the remaining $572.50 balance will be $143.13 for 4 months.
