Genesis School of Natural Health

One-Year Program: 250-Hour Virtual Internship #1

Continue your Education at Genesis! If you have completed an herbalist or holistic / natural health program you may continue your education at Genesis by completing an internship program. Our virtual internship has been designed to provide natural health providers with valuable hands-on experience, research skills, and health-specific knowledge. Students will have a discussion board specifically for the internship the instructor will monitor and reply to students posting questions or comments.

Each month there will be a 4-hour online instruction class covering body systems, disease prevention, pathologies, and protocols to regain health. Students will also complete client case studies, client practicums, pathology, and modality assignments. To complete the internship, students will need to set aside 20 hours per month/5 hours per week to devote to studies. The 250-hour internship requirements must be completed within 12 months + 6 weeks.

  • Instructor: Sharlene Peterson, the founder of Genesis School, will be leading live monthly online lectures for 12 months (October 2024 – October 2025). Each online meeting will be recorded and posted to the student portal. Students may view the video again or watch it when unable to attend the live class.
  • Limited Enrollment: There will be limited enrollment to ensure that each student receives timely grading and answers to questions.
  • Students that start the internship after October 2024 may join the current monthly online lecture. However, it will be necessary to complete the homework and watch the recorded videos for months #1 and #2 before trying to jump ahead.
  • When the live lectures have been completed, incoming students will watch the recorded video lectures and attend the monthly meetings. Monthly meeting will include Q & A time and short topics or new research findings depending on student questions and interests.
